When I first moved to Connecticut from California I was amazed by the rain. We never had rain like that growing up in the drought. The rain filled the air and lasted hours and days. The water ran through the street and rivers appeared in minutes. As if the landscape wasn't alien enough, the weather was completely incomprehensible.
It rained like that yesterday in Boston. I was alone and watching the windows like a washing machine or an aquarium. I couldn't look away.

I am going to France on May 18th. I will be studying french at Ecole des Trois Ponts for a week, then to Paris for a week, then perhaps Provence for the last week. I am so excited. I can't decide if I am happier about France, or just having three weeks away from work.

I am stumbling around trying to learn about livejournal. I am brand spankin' new. I should make pictures.
Indigo Carmen is a dye I remember using in a Biology class in college. I always thought it sounded like a name. Like a purple Carmen Sandiego.
